The Weizenbock is a style we’ve tinkered with for years. For Scratch #536, our brewing team started with pilsner and Vienna malts, plus an addition of white wheat to lend a creamy texture. Decoction and step mashing intensifies the bready character before our German Hefeweizen yeast ties it all together with a hint of candied cloves. Think of this beer as DreamWeaver’s maltier big brother!

Provided from Gary:
LOOK: Amber, copper in color with a light tan head. Not hazy and just a tad less than clear. Retention was average.
AROMA: Malt base, but most noticeable is a clove aroma. Not a fan of cloves.
TASTE: Clove phenols are beyond too much for me. For anyone who likes the taste of cloves you will love this Weizenbock.
The 7% ABV is noticed with a touch of warming.
Nice drying finish.
