Our collaboration with Chef Matt Haley, in celebration of his latest restaurant, Papa Grande’s in Fenwick, Delaware, marries the bright flavors of his indigenous Mexican dishes with a with waves of tropical fruit in this dry IPA. We added more than one hundred pounds of puréed apricots to the wort during fermentation, and then dry-hopped it with three pounds of Citra hops per barrel creating an insanely vibrant citrusy character. This latest Scratch creation is extremely limited, so stop in sooner than later to experience this deliciously fresh, juicy apricot IPA!

Served on-tap at the Brewery. This one sold out in a day and a half!!
A - Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a fluffy one finger tall white head leaving sticky webs of lace down parts of the glass. A beautiful looking beer.
S - Smells of fresh picked ripe apricots, intense citra hops, fresh cut grass, a bit of backing pale malt and they faintest hint of booze. The fruitiness is intense initially but it gets more balanced as it comes to room temperature.
T - Starts off with a beautiful mix of intense citra hops and super fresh apricots. Some fresh grass, tropical fruit zest, chewy pale malt and a tiny bit of booze round things out. Bitterness is quite strong initially but it becomes a bit more balanced as it warns up to room temperature. Finish is quite bitter with some light sweetness, lingering on the palate for quite awhile after the finish.
M - Medium-Light body with moderate carbonation. Slick, very bitter feel with a bit of lingering sweetness at the end of each sip. While it is easy to consume the strong flavors really wore me down after my second glass.
O - Damn, this is one nice IPA. The fruit is intense but it matches perfectly with the citra hops. It kind of tastes like Perpetual IPA with a ton of fruit added to it. I only wish they had made more, alas it will be gone by the time you read this.
