Fully aromatic, tasty and smooth. The maple and the well=roasted malts are all there. A better brew than its average rate.
While it is hard to get my head around exactly what Honor is doing as they have a limited website, they certainly are sincere about it and it shows in this very well integrated porter.

Honor Brewing Company "Night Vision Maple Porter"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle without production codes or freshness dating. Contract brewed in Denver, CO.
$2.99 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Look: Typical appearance with a brown-black body beneath a short head of tan foam. Clear with ruby highlights when held to the light. Limited head retention and lacing.
Smell: Mild with dark milk chocolate and just a hint of maple if you seek it out.
Taste: Medium caramel, some darker caramel, dark chocolate, mild maple syrup. Subtle hints of piney hops. Nicely balanced by a moderate bitterness. Dry finish with just some dark chocolate and a hint of pine lingering shortly.
Feel: Medium-light in body with a moderate carbonation that leaves it soft and smooth.
Overall: This is not an eye-opener in any way, it's just a straightforward, basic, easy to drink porter. The maple lends it a very light note that adds slightly to its complexity but could probably be just as easily discarded without anyone noticing.

L - Poured from bottle into a pint glass. Head quickly disappeared. Dark, but doesn't obscure all light. (3.5)
S - Smells like a porter. Lightly roast and malt aromas. (3.75)
T - OK. I'm not sure that I get much maple. There's a little something in there. A combination of sweetness and bitterness, with some roast on the side. (3.5)
F - Light effervescence. Medium body. (3.5)
O - Not bad. Doesn't leave a great taste in my mouth, but in a pinch, I'd have another. I guess I expected more maple flavor. (3.5)

The maple is there on the nose, but it smells more like wet maple leaves than sweet maple. Flavor profile was a bit of a mess mirroring the aroma, metallic finish, this was a drain pour for me unfortunately
