I have been hitting it hard for the #OktoberfestChallenge2016 but the ones that I have remaining are ones that I have not previously reviewed, making them excellent candidates for tomorrow, New Beer Sunday (Week 609). In the interim, I will peer into the depths of my reefer and see what awaits my attention. Yay, another CAN for The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Hip Hop IPA Series"; "Drink Local"; "Piney & Dank Triple IPA"; "The Place Where We Drink".
I anxiously CANticipate the Crack!, but restraint must be shown on the Glug. This bad boy has been in the reefer, awaiting its moment in the sun since coming back with me from Monde Market in Philly & there is no reason to make it angry at me. Speaking of angry, the Crack! unleashed a spray across my fingertips due to its being a brimful CAN. I would usually retaliate with an inverted Glug, but as I said, that was not my intention. An in-glass swirl raised a brief finger of foamy, fizzy, tawny head with modest retention. Color was a slightly-hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was really amazing - loads of pine & sticky dankness along with a load of caramel. Mouthfeel was big & thick, like a dollop on my tongue. The taste was like licking both a resinous pine tree & the interior of an empty baggie, all wrapped in caramel! Finish was dry, mostly thanks to the heat of the fusel alcohol, but the sweetness of the Carapils malt was also very evident. The real drawback here was the ABV, which made it a one-and-done. Hell, I was glad that I was sitting down while drinking this since I was poised to put me on my ass! My my.

Sir Dank A Lot pours a vibrant, hazed, light orange color with two fingers of thick near-white head that leaves heavy rings of lacing. Quite the looker.
Reserved aroma of pineapple, peach skins, a touch of melon, a little white pepper and some malt sweetness. Not particularly dank or piney.
Sweet and delicate up front upon tasting, with similar light tropical notes, that pepperiness again mid palate, and then a very strong hop bitterness in the aftertaste, as well as a slight, but off-putting nuttiness. It's slight enough that you can almost ignore it, but it's definitely there.
Somewhat light bodied for an imperial IPA, with a moderately creamy mouthfeel.
Pretty good overall, but with all the world-class DIPAs and TIPAs available these days, not something I'm likely to go out of my way to find. Would like to try it fresh on tap.

Poured from its uniquely decorated can into a glass. Very cloudy, non transparent pours deep amber color with a 1 finger head. The smell is very dank with strong notes of pine mixed with hints of citrus. Mouthfeel is smooth, felt a little on the thicker side to me. Tastes very earthy, fresh cut grass, dank and piney. Very pleasent taste but you do get the alcohol kick on the back end. Great beer. If you like this beer i highly recommend trying the other ipa's from manayunk brewing as the moneyman ipa is my favorite beer.
