9/17/16...pours bright gold, brilliant, light white foam. Very light nose, some citrus, some grapefruit. Juicy malt, light peppy and fresh bitter. Quick finish, lemon topper, clean and crisp. Sharpened bitter keeps the taste interesting. Freshly made, nicely done/.

-Can. to spiegelau ipa glass.

A: Deep bright orange, hazy and dense, little to no visibility with exception of a strong rush of effervesce within. A beige colored head with a whipped cream consistency stands one inch with a strong holding factor. Nice presentation.

S: Hints of mango-lemon fruitiness. Breakfast fruit, green melon particularly with some sweet honey suckle and toasted grains. A slight bit of freshly cut pear yeastiness comes on the end, with a nice strength per abv% 4.9%.

T: Flavor was fruity as with the nose with some tropical notes, cream of orange, pineapple and some guava. Apple-citrusy with a dry fruit alcohol aftertaste. Pear and floral hops, dry orange peel and tropical floral hops all combine on the end. Some grapefruit floral alcohol.

M: Creamy malty and lush mouthful, medium body, very good for its abv%.

O: Abv% feels much higher then advertised, the body is also very full, no thining out here with some deep fruity hops and a dry floral finish. Nice amount of hops for a day time ipa that has a night time appeal with strong malt support that wont let you down or feel watered down.

A- Small can pours into a slim tulip with a mostly clear pale golden body and a one finger, thick creamy white cap. Decent head retention as it slowly falls to a ring that drops plentiful spots and webs of lace.

S- The hops and sweet grains pretty much equivalent in the aroma. Floral, slight citrus and herbal hops for the most part. Grains give off cereal, sweet and bready hints.

T- As in the aroma there is some clashing between the grains and the hops as the malts assert a strong cereal and raw barley feel. The hops are mostly floral, spicy, herbal, grassy and earthy reminding one of a hoppy Pils a bit.

MF- Light-medium bodied with a fairly low amount of carbonation. Creamy and frothy texture and a slightly bitter ending.

An easy drinker and for the most part OK but the raw grain quality and the cereal tones clash somewhat with the floral and spicy herbal hops.

Latest entry in the hip hop ipa series, a nice (to me) West Coast style session IPA. Juicy, tropical flavor. Very thin, refreshing mouthfeel. I think the first unfiltered session I've come across.
