Ripe and juicy mangoes and tropical hop aromas give Mango Daydreamin' just the right amount of both sweetness and hops. A refreshing treat generously hopped with Citra, Cascade, Centennial and Columbus, this Daytime IPA was brewed to be crushed.

-can to spiegelau ipa glass.

A: Very good clarity of a pale orange backing has a medium density of effervesce rising at a steady, quick pace. Foamy eggshell white head has a strong standing at two fingers and lasts several minutes with hardly a budge. Equally the vessel shows a strong coating of lace. A second pour from the pint can produced that late hazy orange juice appearance missing in the first.

S: Dripping wet citrus-mangoes show on the open in strong fashion. Fruity, with oranges and tropical notes and a fresh wet grassiness from the centennial hops. Soft dried tropical fruit skin, good strength overall, especially considering its low 4.1%abv gives this more respect.

T: Flavor of juicy mangoes wet the tongue, along with tropical oranges. Juicy, wet citrus mixes with some light wet grassiness and some fresh greenery. Whole grains along with some fruity melon and apricot makes this a wet tropical start that finishes with a light dry hopping of the grassy centennial hops and a twang of grapefruit pulp. Soft mentions of the raw columbus flowery hops add highlights without being to pungent.

M: Lighter side of medium in terms of mouthful weight, there is a decent amount of crisp factor from the abundance of carbonation presence. The texture is slightly syrupy, though light and slick in consistency, and the tongue is presented with a dry, fruity hop flower coating on the tongue.

O: Overall this has a very nice, refreshing and thirst quenching fruity start, loaded with flavor of tropical mangoes and oranges, much more the expected from a serving of 4.1%abv. The body was adequate, not feeling watery at all, supplemented by all the juicy hop oils giving this some body and texture. A transition to a soft grassy and grapefruit finish of centennial hops balances out the fruity sweet start with a light dry hop factor that prepares your tongue for the next juicy sip. Fairly crisp drink-ability, light serving, lots of flavor, and won't weight you down with a session style abv comes packed in a can for your convenience of multiples. enjoy.

A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1 inch head. Smellk is bursting with sweet mango, some citrus. Taste is more subdued than the aroma. Mango, citrus, light bitterness, no sweetness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Poured from a can, there is ink from a date stamp on the bottom edge but it's smeared so I can't read it.

Looks a nice gold orange almost clear with white head and thick lacing. Good tropical hop aroma and the flavor follows through with some juicy mango, but not overly sweet. It's really well-balanced with a good flavor! Some pale and caramel malts and a prickly bitterness round it all out. Nice and tasty!

Served from the 16 ounce can into a 16 ounce fluted chalice. 38F. No canning date visible on packaging or can.

Bronze, light copper orange. Clear with a very slight chill haze.

Definitely mango right off the top. and fairly strong. Seems like an artificial extract. There is certainly a synthetic element to the scent. Behind the mango, pineapple and pale malts, but the mango scent is very strong.

The taste here is kind of confusing. It starts off tasting like the mango that is so strong on the nose, but quickly changes into an abrasive extract ketone. The taste of this beer reminds me of taking Children's Tylenol as a kid. It has that very synthetic medicinal bitterness to it. Some slight malts hit the back of the throat. Not sure about what hops are used here. There is a definitive hop and malt balance, but they are thrown off by either the fruit additions or some sort of extract that overpowers everything else.

A good idea for a session ale in concept, but not knowing the canning date, I cannot tell if the flavors don't jive over time. Please Manayunk, date your cans.
