First had: on tap at their brewery
Again, like the blueberry wheat, this regular wheat was just too harsh and acidic for me to enjoy. I don't drink wits that often, but I'd prefer something more smooth to this.
Poured a hazy straw color with a finger of thin head. Not much in the aroma divergent from your typical witbier. Acidic harshness pretty much destroyed my tastebuds before any other flavors could settle in. Light mouthfeel, but again, harsh. Not very drinkable, I thought.

I had this beer after enjoying a beer sampler at the Manayunk Brewery and Resto. I pretty much knew that I would be going with the Hefe but thought I would give the other selections a try. The beer is well done, nothing cutting edge, just your par for the course hefeweizen. Mine was served in a plastic solo cup with a slice of lemon. The head was still visible by the time the server brought the beer to our table. The wheat strain is not too overpowering and overall this was an enjoyable beer.

Appears a light crisp yellow with a small white head that fades within a minute. Some spotty lacing is left behind.
Smell is that of an American wheat with a touch of hops that remind me of a pilsner-esque hop blend. I'm not getting much of the supposed Belgian yeast strain they used in this.
Taste is ok. Again, it reminds me of an American Wheat with some dry hopping from Hallertau. Nothing special in my opinion.
Mouthfeel is crisp with a slight fizzle on the front of the tongue, leading to a dry finish.
Drinkability is good. Refreshing I suppose if nothing else.

This sinfully flavorful American wheat beer will rope you in with its cloudy golden body, bright white head, and fruity/wheaty aroma... and then entrap you with it's zesty mouthfeel and richly fruity and wheaty flavors! It's bright and sharp with a bed of straw-like wheat malt, grassy/floral/citrusy hops, and some softly tart summer fruit (berries, some cherry, a touch of lemon). It's medium bodied with a zesty carbonation that tickles the tongue. It's firm bitterness balances it nicely, and it finishes dry with some lingering lemon rind, a splash of wehatish malt, and a touch of chalky dryness. Very unique!!! And very nice!
