A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, pine, juicy. Taste is resin, minty, pine, citrus, dry at the finish leaving me gasping for air. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Appearance: pours a crystal clear orange color with a 1/2" head that slowly falls. Some lace develops.
Smell: oranges and a floral hop bitterness rise from the glass.
Taste: caramel, oranges, mango, and floral tones are all over this one. Bitterness is moderate.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp from start to finish. Short lasting aftertaste.
Overall: a very easy to drink IPA that is full of juicy citrus and hop oils.

From a can poured into 16oz pints straight glass, poured a 2 finger head w/ small and medium carbonated bubbles.good lacing for the duration of the drink...the color of a cloudy dark amber/orange with a strong smell of resin with a bitter bite of grapefruit easing into citrisey after taste with a ring of mango..slight burn of alcohol on the first sip fading into a warm feel in the throat...OVERALL..a pleasant hippy.. IPA

I have been hitting it hard for the #OktoberfestChallenge2016 but the ones that I have remaining are ones that I have not previously reviewed, making them excellent candidates for tomorrow, New Beer Sunday (Week 609). In the interim, I will peer into the depths of my reefer and see what awaits my attention. Yay, another CAN for The CANQuest (tm)!

Ah, the roar of the Crack! It almost inspires me to CANduct an inverted Glug, except that I think that I saw somewhere that it is unfiltered. I went with a gentle Glug so as not to rouse any lees that may have settled & it seems to have paid off. Color was solidly Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity & loads of CO2 bubbles in evidence. Nose smelled like it was pine freshener being dispensed from that aerosol CAN on the label! I was not expecting it & I got a full-on whiff as a result. Phew! Mouthfeel was medium, but silky, on the tongue with a slight alcohol burn. The taste was initially very piney, but a deep breath revealed an underlying grapefruit bitterness. Double phew! Warming, I began to also get the tropical flavors of mango, papaya & guava. Man, this was really rich for an AIPA! I might have defaulted to it being a DIPA, instead, just to give you an indication of how it was drinking. Finish was dry with a fusel alcohol heat that really lingered well past the swallow. The juiciness of the beer was the real take-away, however, with tastes both tropical-sweet and citrus-bitter with a cool menthol feel when inhaling following the swallow. Good stuff!
