A thanks goes out to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of peanut butter, dark roasted malts, a touch of chocolate. Taste is peanut butter, chocolate, a bit of alcohol, some banana at the finish. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall it's a quality beer

Well, my transition from Left Hand to the next brewery horizontal was not as seamless as I had planned. I found a couple of other miscellaneous CANs that dovetail nicely with the current antics. Somehow, my (temporary) focus has become peanut butter & chocolate, whether in a Porter or a Stout!
From the CAN: " King Crunch Imperial Porter brewed with Peanut Butter and Bananas"; "Brewed with Natural and Artificial Flavors"; "The Place Where We Drink"; "Unfiltered. Keep Refrigerated."; "Satisfy your most aggressive cravings with King Crunch, our peanut butter and banana Imperial Porter brewed in honor of The King's favorite sandwich, Both robust and creamy, your senses will delight with notes of creamy peanut butter and fresh ripe bananas."
I Crack!ed open the vent & went with an aggro C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass as I wanted to see a pseudo-cascade. I was not disappointed, either, as it rose up to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, light-tan head with moderate retention. Color was Dark Brown to Very Dark Brown (SRM = > 27, < 34) with cola highlights throughout. Nose was not as intense as in the previous peanut butter beers, but that was due to the presence of bananas. Here, the bananas led the way, followed by the peanut butter, all underlain by a chocolatiness. Ha! Mouthfeel was big, full & creamy, befitting an AIP, as though a dollop had been scooped into my mouth & onto my tongue. The taste was big on bananas at first, then the chocolatiness began to take hold. Hmm. It reminded me of a banana split with chocolate syrup topping. It was on the brink of being just a bit too sweet for my taste. However, on the finish, I got a burst of peanut butter with a vengeance, shifting it from almost-too-sweet to semi-dry. This one kind of made me smile. I have been mentioning amuses-bouche lately, which are appetizers, but it literally translates to "happy mouth" or "amused mouth". This was certainly an amusing beer. YMMV.

SAmpling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. The beer is part of a swap with @brendenw17. Thanks man!
Pouring the beer is a rick dark coffee brown with some garnet highlights on the edge of my glass when held to the light. A fluffy beige head of 2 cm foams up and fades quickly to a sturdy surface layer. The fading leaves dense lattice on the sides of my glass. Nice looking porter.
Aroma is a huge hit of peanut butter and husky nut shell up front. this covers over a bit of sweet ripe banana and some dark chocolate and general roasted malt character. The peanut butter dominates the show here.
First sip reveals a smooth silky texture and medium body with very fine and tingly carbonation. Beer coats my palate a bit on each swallow.
Flavor is kind of sweet up front with some rich chocolate and again peanut butter heavy. I also get the ripe banana coming through midway and then back to a little sweet chocolate onthe finish. Hops dont make any show and the ABV is well hidden on this brew.
Im glad I got to try this one and the combo of flavors works very well. Worth a pickup if you like big malty brews on the sweeter side.

L -pours a rich opaque mahogany w/ minimal head and slight lacing.
S - banana dominant with hints of peanut butter and roast.
T -roasty, chocolatey, with hints of banana and nice peanut undertones.
F- a little thin, deceptive for the ABV
Overall a good beer and sort of a bigger, sweeter Crunch. I enjoyed.

Pours solid black with rich tan head and sticky lacing. The nose is loaded with chocolate, peanut butter, malt, and some light banana. Flavors follow nose with a major improvement as this one warms, at first I got a load of ABV bite but as it warmed the flavors mellowed and took on a very pleasant feel. This is a solid beer especially if your in the mood for sweets, not a daily drinker but a very nice treat.

On tap at blend.
AROMA: Super nutty AROMA.
Banana is light, and I only pick it up on the TASTE. That's a good thing for me.
TASTE: banana, peanut butter,
FEEL: full body, creamy.
