Today's little CANQuest (tm) adventure is going to CANsist of Goses & Pilsners. The former because I seem to have a number of them, all ready to go & the latter because I simply CANnot get enough Pilsners. It's easy enough to suss out Lagers, but there just do not seem to be enough Pilsners, IMHO.
From the CAN: "Can Opener German-style Gose Ale brewed with Cranberries"; "Brewed with Sea Salt"; "The Place Where We Drink"; "Can Opener is a bright and thirst-quenching sour wheat ale based on the top-fermented beers originally brewed in Goslar, Germany. Unlike the traditional version, we've added bushels of freshly pressed cranberries and a touch of sea salt for a refreshingly tart and savory finish."
Once more, I prepped the CANtents with some gentle agitation before Crack!ing open the vent. Once acCANplished, I went with an inverted Glug into the awaiting glass to keep things stirred up & agitated. 8=) This time, my hard, steady C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass raised two-plus fingers of fizzy, foamy, roiling, Carnation Pink (!) head with limited retention, quickly falling off to wisps. Color was a hazy Pinkish-Amber (SRM = N/A). Nose smelled like someone sprinkled salt in my Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice Cocktail! 8=O I felt like I should heat up a turkey TV dinner to eat with this one! 8=) Mouthfeel was thin & watery, about the standard for the style. Boy, was this one T-A-R-T, TART, TART! 8=* The cranberries & the salt CANbined to create a taste that would awaken a zombie & make Dolores O'Riordan proud! Of course, it was going to take the jaws of life to prise my lips open. This was like drinking liquid alum. The taste left no question as to its adjuncts. Finish was super dry, like desiccant dry & while I know that I should have been plenty quenched & satiated, I had one more to go! YMMV.

Strong aroma of wheat and cranberry juice. Medium light body with about medium carbonation that dissipates fairly quickly.
Taste is mildly sour, tart, barely sweet at all bordering a bit dry. More complex than the aroma but still dominated by fruit and felt and tasted almost like sparkling juice
