Pours a rich, dark, almost black coffee-like color. Minimal head. Smell is of dark roasted, faintly burnt and smokey grains - hints of chocolate, coffee and nuts. Taste brings the charred, smokey and dark roasted grains to the front, faint off wet hay taste and above mentioned touched of chocolate and nuts. Full bodied, smooth begining yet chalky finish. Ok beer lacking much diversity and focus, but the fact that its dark can hide some flaws.
