Pours a bright gold color, moderate bubble action which leads to only a small cap of white head, little retention or lacing. Scent is what is expected from style... notes of dried grain and grass, faint citrus, notes of cracker and a the faintest hint of butter. Taste is quite big, more akin to the double pilsner style we are seeing more and more of (think Voodoo Pillzilla) with all of the notes from scent present. Medium bodied due to very low carbonation level, but gives it an interesting oily smoothness. A decent beer, a little bolder than expected so didnt fly over as well with the non-craft fans but kept me happy.

Growler from Whole Foods Plymouth Meeting poured into a Pilsner Urquell glass.

Pour a clear, golden, straw color with a lingering one finger head. Smell is dominated by grassy malts and crisp, clean German noble hops.

The taste is light and clean. The malt flavor is ascendent at the forefront then it melds away to a clean finish which features the super dry flavor of those German hops.

The mouthfeel is light and nicely carbonated. This is a supremely drinkable pils and a nice example of the style.
