A: opaque; virtually black in color; with a fairly aggressive pour, a 1 finger medium brown head that receded quickly to a splotchy cap with a moderate collar; light lacing;
S: deeply roasted grain, coffee with cream, and licorice;
T: deeply roasted grain, black coffee, and licorice; moderate bitterness at the end;
M: medium to full bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish; hides the ABV well;
O: very smooth, but not very interesting;

Poured from a pint can into a Tulip style glass. Thick foamy head, the color of mocha, that provided excellent lacing as the beer is consumed. Black as coal body. Mild aroma of chocolate and smoke. First sip exhibits some malty sweetness, but the hops bitterness kicks into gear quick. Great mouthfeel, with little of the 8.5% abv burn; well masked in the flavor of the beer.

Gifted to me by @PatrickCT. Standard looking stout, bit of auburn color on edging. Roasted dark malt smells. Taste is roasty, malty, bitter and smoky (almost a smoked meat quality), with a minimal s’more like sweetness underneath. Medium body, a bit of a mouth watering finish, minimal boozy presence. It doesn’t strike me as much of a milk stout, but it’s a good imperial stout.

16oz can. Pours a thick black color with 2 inches of dark brown head. Good amount of lacing. Sweet aroma of chocolate milk, molasses, leather, espresso, roasted malts, char and a hint of cinnamon. The taste is chocolate milk and leather at first followed by roasted malts and earth. Dark chocolate and espresso more towards the end. Sweet chocolatey finish. Fair amount of alcohol heat. Heavy, velvety mouthfeel. Fantastic Milk Sout worth seeking out.

Pours dark back-brown with a heavy dark tan head about 1.5 fingers. As head pulls back there is a lot of lacing all over the glass. Chocolate, coffee and roasted malts on the nose - taste follows with a little bit of bitterness and sweetness to it. It could be a tad sweeter for a milk stout. Feels like a stout, little thick with an easy finish. Overall this is a solid beer I'd have again.

16oz can: This one pours an inky dark brown color. There was a small light brown head that didn't linger or leave any lacing. Good nose. Coffee and roasted malts up front. Some chocolate and sweetness in the background. The taste is also good. Some sweet milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and an underlying earthiness. Very smooth. Nice!
