New Zealand pilsner? What in the word is that? Good question. For out interpretation we combine a soft water profile of a Czech pils, with the heavy handed hopping of a German pils. Layered additions of Motueka, Nelson, Riwaka, and Pacific Sunrise lead to a beautiful citrus forward flavor in an eminently drinkable package.

Taster at brewery. Pale golden pour, skimpy head. Light coconut aroma, unfortunately it's the suntan oil kind. Taste can't shake that either, it really tastes like you dropped some Coppertone in the pour. Oily mouthfeel too. Not my cup of tiki punch

These pils are getting harder to classify; a soft Czech style mouthfeel with lots of hops like a German, but the hops are of New Zealand origin. Ok.
16 oz. can pours a canary gold; starch white head, overflowing, and recedes quick enough leaving a thin cap of foam.
Soft, round honey and cracked wheat aroma. Tangerine juice, lemon spritzer, lime peel. Jammy sweetness, subtle pine.
Very soft feel, superfine carbonation and very effervescent.
Flora hop accented honey/grass malt. Not brash, but flavor dials are turned up to accommodate the hops. Jammy peach, pine, and berry sweetness; but, it tries to maintain a floral character throughout. Crackery malt; bittersweet clementine finish dashed with lime zest.
They produced a very drinkable and light beer, so in that respect, regardless of style, I like it.
