Draught: This one pours a clear golden color. There was a small white head on it that leaves some lacing. It has a good nose. Floral, spice, earthy and some wheat. Some faint fruits also. The taste is good. Wheat, hints of lemon, earthy hops. Nicely balanced.

Picked this up a couple years ago, and after many attempts to share with rudzud it just never came about, so finally got it to the table for Bruins overtime/shootout win.

Batch 690, 12/17/12, bottle

Decent fizzy head, nice messy lacing, hazy sediment laden orange color.

Nose lots of apple fruit, cider like, apple juice with tart lemony notes, sour note, tangy fruit, some buttery oak and mild wine vinous notes, tart lemony funk and saison spices, faint grassy malt notes, quite old sour mash thing. 35

Taste brings tangy flavours, sour fruit, little lemony funk, sour apple fruit and juice, some vinous wine barrel, little lacto soreness, white wine and light buttery barrel, tangy weird sweet candy fruit sauce, sticky, way beyond its prime. Mild grassy wheat like notes, etc. Sticky mild flemmy etc, finish is sticky flemmy sour mash, golden malt, mild sour fruit and wine vinous.

Mouth is med bod, lighter carb, little slick almost lacto feel.

Overall interesting, beyond its prime, but ingesting.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing. Bottle 2570.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a crystal clear honey hue that leaves thin wisps.

S - Aromas of older saison, faint barrel, older stale caramel. Faint Light toffee.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, faint tart vinous notes, woody barrel, vanilla, old stale saison. Tastes past it's prime, but, the sour funk does make this interesting. Pleasant.

M - Mouthfeel is lowly carbonated almost slick.

O - Overall this beer was old and odd. Sour funky, light wine, stale saison. Yah, neat.

Bottle 3055, batch 690. Bottles 12/26/12

Thanks to Adam for bringing this over to Mac's place!

The beer pours a nice golden color that is semi hazy, nice frothy white head and decent lacing.

The nose has a nice honey suckle like subtle smell, some nice yeasty overtones. Also some straw and somewhat funk like undertones, a bit of Chardonnay wine. The taste follows suit and has an elegant wine like feel with some subtle spice, not as much pepper as I would have guessed, but a touch nonetheless. Again some lit honey covered light biscuity tastes and a touch of oaky buttery Chardonnay (again). A nice easy drinking beer, but not overly complex. Doesn't have some of the classic farmhouse saison yeast tastes one would expect and comes off a little empty in the mid palate and aftertaste.

The feel is thin and easy, again wine like with a nice carbonation level and overall palatable feel.

Overall not bad, but not amazing.
