I was served a 12 ounce bottle in a flute glass at LaConner Brewing Company in LaConner, Washington. The limited run beer is only sold for consumption at the Brewery and it is only served in a 12 ounce bottle. According to the menu "Belgian-Style Sour Ale features local raspberries aged since 2002. Available by the bottle for $8 only for consumption here at the brewery."
A: It poured a nearly clear reddish body with a very thin bubbly head and no lacing.
S: It had aromas of tart cherries and sour apples. There were slight undertones of malts and hops but they were overtaken by the bite of tartness that dominated the odors.
T: It was a sour bomb from the git go. The tart cherries and berries were followed by a bitting almost vinegar flavor. The beer finished clean and had no sour aftertaste.
M: It was light bodied with no carbonation and a clean warm finish.
D: It was a sipper. It reminded me of a dry white wine and it was very similar to Belgium Red Ales and Lambics. It was a treat but it is definitely not a session beer.
