Cereza is a 7.2% Saison brewed with elderberries. The taste is refreshingly light with a slightly spicy hint of white pepper and a fine undertone of cherry.

Copenhagen 18/10 2019. 33cl bottle from Høkeren, Ravnsborggade, Kbh. N. Hoppe.beer's usual stylish design in light blue, cream and brown with a little Cherry on top.
Pours hazy, orange red with a small frothy white head. Interesting sediments whirling around. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense and balanced between citric sourness and Cherry sweetness. Citrus, Vinegar and unripe berries. Sweet Cherry, Cane Sugar. The sour side has a little overweight.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor has a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and citric with a more subdued sweet undercurrent. Finish is tart and dry.
Nice sour beer with a little sweet berry flavor for balance. Reminds me more of a Sour Beer than a Saison. But a decent drink.
