Beautiful color, red-amber. Quite good head, quickly decading into a remaining veil. No bubbles.
In the smell hop, citrussy, with sweet maltiness in the background.
The taste is quite bitter, not too much, characterized by the hoppiness, and with aromatic notes, almost spicy. Fennel hints? Even fruity notes (sour cherries).
Light notes of roasted and hazelnuts.
Quite complex.
In the aftertaste a quite strong hoppiness.
Absolutely not bad.

Got this bottle-conditioned beer from Real Ale beershop in Richmond, London. The BB date is Jan. 06.
A: in a goblet it pours a dark amber to copper hue, with an initially thick foamy, off-white beer head settling to just a thin layer of medium and tiny bubbles; fast-ascending tiny bubbles due to bottle-conditioning I guess.
S: a complex nose of lightly perfumy and nutty note, plus immensely juicy, mixed-tropical fruity hop aroma floating in the air... very refreshingly fruity and nutty.
T&M: a quite fizzy texture comes in first... a very profound but mildly-aromatic nutty taste prevails later, with more hayish hops, dryish zesty flavour and an interesting, clashing and dryish mouthfeel of citrusy flavour vis-a-vis a lively roated-nutty flavour in the finish. Lively mouthfeel throughout, with a rather dry touch in the lingering finish.
D: overall this is a full-flavoured but medium-bodied strong bitter. The dryish taste adds greatly to its drinkability.
