from Untappd, please practice your beer French--
La bière triple du Lac est brassé depuis 2009. Une blonde intense et forte référence aux triples d’abbayes belges. Sa force alcoolique est soutenue par une composition de céréale d’orge, blé, avoine marié avec des épices et du miel de fleur d’oranger.
Malts : Pilsen, Vienne
Houblons : Styrian Golding

My first from this micro, I went on their website and it is minimal (and no English button, unusual for a Geneva an international city.) So, I make do and improvise. Biere Du Lac has 10 brews on their website. Their taproom and outside patio Garden Of Hops is in a neighbourhood I'd like to visit when I come back to Geneva. In the meantime, I give Biere Du Lac very good Overall Hugs.
Madeleine has been around since 2009. I got my copy of Madeleine from Drinks Of The World at Geneva's central station (highly recommended and a good selection of Belgian's inspired.) Madeleine is inspired, but at first I thought it was inspired to be different. Didn't like it; too off-fruity; and put it back in the frig. The next day, much better. In part, this is because I poured the considerable sediment out and it made the fruit less off.
We don't get much foam on the second day. Smells are all fruit, with some spices in the back. Tastes are almost balanced, once the overnight put that off-citrus tart in its place. The finish is much better. I find it hard to believe there is 9% ABV here as it is well-concealed. Refreshing. Light-mouthed for a heavy style.
I don't know what to suggest to improve Madeleine. The yeast may have gotten funny over the decade and it got un-funny being open overnight. My best guess. All that said, I'd like to try your other Belgian-inspireds.
