Coalition Brewing has an interesting business model.
They have no taproom. They have no address. And they seem to have no inventory. (If you go on their website, everything is "Out Of Stock.") Yet I'm drinking their brew in a very nice restaurant. Apparently after they have brewed and bottled a batch (presumably a contract arrangement), they deliver cases to their client restaurants and taverns. They've been in business for over four years with some 5,007+ Uniques. So it must work most of the time. While I can't be optimistic about irregular business practices, I can be encouraging to thoughtful brewers like Coalition. So I give them very good Overall Hugs.
And Zen was a good Pale. I prefer the English interpretation as it uses hops more modestly. And Zen Looks a pretty pale in its glass with a decent foam that lasts. Smells are mostly malt. Tastes are balanced, but the tea joins the hops to create a semi-dry finish. Almost medium-mouthed, but softish. A good lunch beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
