Scotch darker colour with lace in glass. Good nose of chocolate malt and licorice, taste is anise-like. Toasted malt. Smooth easy drink, malted but not cloying. Well done dunkel, Flying Bison is on the way up. I could stay on this all night. Thanks Rudolph.

Eye Candy: Beautiful full brown, garnet red in the light. Looks roasted/ toasted, warming and inviting.Thick white 2 finger head that gave way to minimal thin lacing. No fizzy carbonation which led me to believe that Hoops was going to be thick.
The Nose Knows: Deep dark roasted malts finished by sweet chocolate. Pure sniffable goodness. Similar to Aviator Red in the front, but deeper and richer.
Tongueland: Initial carmel, dark toasted malts in the middle, finishes with a hint of bitter chocolate. Perfect.
Bender Factor: This is the best beer that I have ever had the honor to taste, next to Middle Age's Wailing Wench. Hoops is perfect. I bought 3 growlers which willl be gone in less than 2 hours (between 3 people).
