Brewed as an homage to Polish tradition in Western NY, and will appear in stores prior to Dyngus Day (the day after Easter). Polonia Pils pours a straw yellow with rich, white foam and an herbal spiciness from the Saaz hops. A soft malt note complements the spicy, floral hop characters of the Hallertau & Saaz hops. Lagered 40 days for a crisp finish.
Available on draft and in bottles Feb-Apr.
MALTS: Pilsner & Vienna
HOPS: Saaz & Hallertau

one of the best Pilseners I have had. Have had it on more than one occasion, and it was consistently great

Pours into a pilsner a light golden with a fluffy bone white head that never really completely settles.Sweet grain and corn aromas, very Euro in the nose although it's B-lo brewed beer.Toasted grain underlies a pretty hefty saaz sharpness on the palate,I don't find it overly sweet, just enough sweetness.I'am guessing this is pretty food friendly, will pair the rest I have with some of my homemade Easter sausage and sweet cheese perogies.Na zdrowie!

Clear, pale straw colored body; decent carbonation; thick, frothy white head. Gentle sweetness to the nose; a bit of light cereal notes. The taste follows along the same lines as the aroma; some hop bitterness and spiciness poking through the sweetness. Medium body; crisp and semi-dry mouthfeel throughout.
A solid pilsner, perhaps a bit too sweet but not terribly so.

For an American-made pilsner, this was very good. Surprisingly good! It reminded me of having fresh pilsners in the city of Pilsner, Czech Republic. A bit of hops, lots of crispness, mighty drinkable... well done!

Growler courtesy of sliverx, thanks Tim for my very first growler I have ever consumed. H-town, and Tx in general, sucks hard for growlers. Pours a clear, rather dark gold color with a small, bubbly white head.
Nose is grainy malt with a little bit of a caramel malt presence. Touch of doughy yeast and grassed hops. Not the best pilsner nose, but certainly smells like a quality attempt at the style.
Freshly crushed grain flavor with a light hop bitterness. Might pass better as a helles lager, lack of hop flavor and crispness hurts the scores for this brew. The freshness of the beer is quite welcome and very much in evidence. Has a nice, creamy texture. This would be easy to polish off a growler of this by oneself.

Picked up at the brewery on Dyngus Day, this is brewed only for that day and doesn't make it beyond then.
Poured a very light copper slightly orange tinged, small head that shrank to not much more than a ring of bubbles.
Smelled of sweet malt and biscuits.
Tastes of sweet malt a bit of a watery alcohol taste, signature Flying Bison flavor profile, definitely related to Rusty Chain, score suffered from the complete lack of anything hop showing up.
Mouthfeel is light, crisp, easy drinking and quite refreshing. Get your polka on and then rehydrate
Overall if this had just a tinge of earthy hops it would be damn fine but this is still no slouch and the official beer of Dyngus Day @ Buffalo Central Terminal. This would be a great summer sitting on the deck beer.

Had this on tap at the library on fillmore ave. on dyngus day. Pours nice into a plastic cup, yellow straw in color and a nice head for show. Smells of earthy malts. Taste is refreshing, lots of malt. Light on the carbonation and body makes for an easy gulper. A classic concoction for the event, Flying Bison does some good work. Look forward to a pint every spring.
