Cloudy brown color. Rocky head that leaves an abundance of spots and streaks.

The smell is unusual that reminds me of steak sauce without the salt. Unsalted soy sauce? It’s similar to the smell of grilled beef. I like it but it’s truly unique from all my other tastings.

Round malt base with a lightly sweet caramel flavor. Good body and unlike most Japanese beers, this has a lower carbonation level. There’s a mild sourness immediately prior to the swallow. The finish leans to the malt although the bittering hop shows up in the background. Short aftertaste.
