Tasted by half-pint recently at the Market Porter, nr. Borough Market, S. London.
A: murky dark straw colour, with a thin white foam on top of a rather static body.
S: savoury-sweet fruitiness with a touch of citric zests, reminiscent of Goldings hops, added with a creamy maltiness firmly beneath. An intriguing touch of sweet yeastiness also at present, but overall a bit dull.
T: sweet grapefruit juice on top of pale malts of a chewy texture; turning dryish and tangy bitter down the tongue, intensifying slowly and leaving a lovely zesty-bitter aftertaste... very dry and bitter hoppyness of superb length in the end, lending a tangy mouthfeel to keep stimulating the palate.
M&D: light-medium bodied bitter with a smooth texture--very easy to quaff. Despite a very good job managing the bitterness in the brew, it somehow lacks more impressive or exciting elements to make it a truly fine beer.
