Fizzy beige head that reminds me of soda on ice. It recedes within seconds to rim bubbles. Eventually even the rim bubbles are gone, leaving absolutely no lace on the glass at all. The liquid is deep dark brown.
Initially, I picked up black coffee smells. Subsequently, the Baker's chocolate aroma dominated. Combined, it's a chocolatey mocha.
The flavor is semisweet chocolate. In fact, I would think this is a chocolate Porter, not a Stout despite the bottle's label. Thinnish body, particularly given the sweet overtones. The carbonation is very high. The flavor is not complicated, it's a bit like a fizzy Yahoo drink, but not as milky. The coffee is missing from the taste.
