Served last week at the Sellwood Public House which features several microbrews on tap, this double was apparently a limited edition.
Deep golden amber in the pitcher, with a persistent 1/2" foamy head, and lots of carbonation bubbles...
Very light smell, of flowery peppery hops.
Very interesting, somewhat complex taste to the opping, with a perk of peppery pungence to start and residual light grassy lemony citrus. Slightly sweet, a little balanced biscuity malty.
Light-medium body, but definitely there. To be rolled on the tongue and savored, all evening long.
Very good. Nice for a double IPA on tap. They should do it again; it's one of their best!
