Belle Saison is fresh, sweet, dry and tart all at once. Light like a pilsner but the particularly high fermentation temperature gives a much more complex taste experience. Particularly suitable for hot summer days.

Copenhagen 18/1 2020. 33 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Give (web-shop). The label looks a bit improvised and lo fi. A close up of something yellow in grainy quality with the name of the beer in light green with too little contrast.
Pours very unclear - almost opaque - orange. Small sediments of yeast whirling about. Small white, bubbly head. Disappears after a few seconds.
Aroma is medium intense balancing malty sweetness and acerbic, citric sourness. Sweet pale malts, lemonade-ish sweetness. Orange and citrus. Subtle spices. Coriander.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, smooth, soft, gently tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger, citric sourness. Aftertaste is acerbic sour. Lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
Gentle Saison. Sour without going to extremes and balanced by a malty sweetness. And damn ugly.....
