This is a classic saison with a funky twist: Barrel-aged for 9 months with Brettanomyces yeast, giving it distinct barnyard flavours.

Copenhagen 10/8 2020. 33 cl bottle from Væskebalancen, Vestergade, Aarhus. Drawing of a big and funky beard on the label.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet fruity odor and a prominent scent of funk. Light citric notes. Sweet, red apples. A bit ciderlike. Musty clothes, cheese and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, tingling, lively texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweet-ish with a sour edge. Semi-dry, sour finish.
Well-balanced and with a fairly intense funky touch. It's not too bad to be a redneck.
