This does have a good piney and citrusy hoppy flavor and aroma, but balanced with a sweet malty finish. It’s very subtle, but it’s there.

I’ve been buying the mixed IPA pack just to get this stupid beer. Stupid, good, beer. It’s annoying but here we are.

From Ruddy Duck Fridge in exchange for a Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter
LOOK: Pours pretty hazy for a Pale Ale. All white decent head and pale straw in color. Head quickly settles leaving some thin side glass lace.
AROMA: Some tart grapefruit citrus and some aromatic hops of pine and apricot and pepper.
TASTE: Very citrus in its pale ale style. Pine resin, grapefruit some sourdough bread malts.
FEEL: Maintains its citrus tart profile and is drying at the finish.
Pretty complex brew with a lot to offer.

Just an outstanding APA top to bottom. You simply aren’t going to find many 5% hop-forward beers that are this satisfying and consistent. Wonderful bitterness and pith with malt balance and fruity, piney finish. Coats the teeth wonderfully and brings you back quickly for the next sip. Absolute go-to beer on the lake or at the beach when you want a blast of traditional American hop flavors in a highly drinkable form. Like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale turned up one notch on the dial.
