2019 Release.
Appearance: Pours a straw-hued body, hazed with a collapsing, ultimately slender, white head.
Smell: Funky, tart-scented and fruity with an appealing minerality. Touches of pils, hewn hay and dough with a veneer of bentonite clay. Smashed white/green grapes, lightly spiced with a drizzle of tropical fruit juices (pulls in more funkiness, more salinity as you reach the dregs at the bottom).
Taste: Thinned pils, a little sprinkling of grits in the grist. Minimally sweet. Bright, freshly-juiced lemon with some slender florals and splashes of white wine, rosewater and a wrung out, sweaty ole horseblanket. Appealing acidity throughout. Hints of maize paste, hay, dough again as you near the dry, less-than-crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-low carbonation. Would've liked it to be a bit more spritely.
Overall: Quite pleasing, enjoyable. Plenty flavorful but also keenly drinkable.
