Poured from a growler into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a lightly hazy medium orange and a thin white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bready malt with a hint of graininess, coriander, Belgian yeast, ripe light stone fruit, pear juice. Flavor follows aroma with bready malt, Belgian yeast, pear and apple juice, fleeting light stone fruit, coriander and a hint fo funk. Finishes with fruit juice, clove and coriander, semi-dry. Medium bodied with light to medium creaminess. A pleasant Belgian blonde with classic fruit flavors and Belgian spicing; coriander is a bit forward. Nice stone and pome fruit from the yeast (apparently Chimay style yeast was used). A little astringent on the finish from sturdy spicing with hints of a tripel profile. Solid domestic take on the style. A little hazier and deeper in color depth than usual for the style, but looked nice in the glass. While my growler was being filled, I got a taster of their abbey single, which I liked a bit better; both are good choices.
