The aroma is lemon candy with adjunct like malts. The appearance is pale gold with a light haze and a fast falling head. The taste is like the aroma and not as sweet and lemon candy like as the aroma would have you believe. The palate is thin. Overall another drinkable beer from the Aldi Holiday Beer pack. ABW brewing is doing a respectable job but not overly impressed with this one.

12/26/25 - (Can, Home) (Chicago, IL) Can Notes: Purchased via the Aldi Twelve Days of Beer Fall/Winter 2025 variety twelve pack for $22.14 with tax at the Harwood Heights Aldi on November 7, 2025, and refrigerated until opening this afternoon. 12 oz canned 9/9/25 (can stamp PKGD 04:090925 15400298505). 4.0% ABV, Lemon Shandy. Ale with lemon natural flavors. Brewed by ABW Virginia Beach LLC in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Appearance: Poured can into a large tulip, yielding a bright white creamy generous head leaving clumpy lacing and a creamy cover over the heavily carbonated yellow golden clear base. 4.5
Aroma: 7UP, the pop, not the film series, and lemon. Strong and enticing. 4.0
Taste: Lemon and wheat / weizen vibes. More subdued and no pop vibes the aroma was giving. 3.5
Mouthfeel: Light and easy drinking, persistent mildly prickly carbonation adds depth to a watery light body. Sweet but consistent with the style, lemon tastes somewhat natural and controls the experience from GO!. 4.0
Overall: This is a good shandy, honestly not a style I turn to often, but a beer I'd grab in the Summer or recommend to those who enjoy a light easy lemon beer. 4.0
