With clean, noble hops and classic lager malt as the basis, we’ve layered an infusion of hibiscus flowers, aromatic mint and tangy lime.

a really cool beer here, deep pink to ruby red from the tap, crystal clear, and with a short off white head on top that dissipates after a few minutes. the beer is a light lager as a base, crisp and clean, and the quality and refinement of it comes through everything else going on here, which really is quite a lot. my wife rightly commented that it smells and tastes like christmas, even though this is mojito inspired. done with hibiscus, mint, and lime, its very floral and bright, but also kind of festive to us, hints of tart cranberry and even cinnamon to me, less lime than i thought it might have, so the hibiscus and the mint show a little more, which also sort of adds to the holiday vibe of this one. its pink as can be, but its not over flavored, and the fact that its a lager remains obvious throughout it, like i can taste the yeast a little bit and also appreciate the crispness, this is light and snappy and refreshing, oddly summery and wintery at the same time, and another smart flavored beer from pelican, who seems to be doing these better than just about everyone else in the northwest right now. really enjoyable, nice with pickled veggies, smoked trout, and even hot wings! bubbly and clean on the finish, real nice, even if the mojito thing is lost a little on me.
