really wonderful stuff here, majorly modern, drinkable, and unique. its a crisp and hoppy lager using an experimental varietal, and its super interesting. its hoppy enough to encroach on india pale lager territory for sure, but the bitterness is pretty tame here, even lower to me than in a lot of classic pils types, not without a little finishing snap, but its more flavorful and aromatic than it is bitter. crystal clear, radiant yellow, bone white headed from the tap, gorgeous. big time citrus to me in the nose, meyer lemon, lemon grass, green apple, and green grape all in the mix, i dont know anything about this hop before this beer, so this is all hitting kind of new to me. it juicy in the flavor sure, but its also herbal, botanical, and tea-like in the center, and sort of southern hemisphere to me on the hops, teasing green gooseberry, pear, and kiwi fruit, lush like that, drippy, its wonderful. must be pils malt in the base, just a little european flare there, bit dry, crackery, and crisp in support. i taste some lager yeast too which i always appreciate, this is really nicely proportioned and balanced, and i could drink 20 of them without a thought. this should become a regular in their lineup, its almost like a new zealand type pils, i know some breweries have been throwing that lingo out there, but this kind of fits like that regardless of wherever the hops are actually from. loved it, hope to drink it again!
