A little spartan on this one, didn't realize that the Brewery wasn't yet in BA.
Appearance: Poured with a thumb of head, solid carbonation in beautiful red body with minor smaller then sand particulate
Smell: Tea and toffee maybe a slight plum note in the back. It didn't need warming but it could use some more potency.
Taste: Tea note permeates the brew, starts with mild toffee that turns to mild plum before earth and mildest floral taste, but the main character is without a doubt that tea note.
Mouthfeel: Carbonation is solid but peters out near the end, the transitioning is decent but again, with the tea being center stage, it's happening in the background and aftertaste is mild tea, because he's the star here.
Drinkability: Medium body which isn't usual for the style as I'm used to these being far heavier. Very bright in terms of drinkability and being quite easy to drink.
Final Thoughts: Got this can from the brewery in Montreal, but I had it on tap with my first instance of rarebit, which I am to understand was quite a bit more dressed up then is usual for that dish. Regardless, this was the pick of what I had there and I found it a very unique Irish Red with surprising brightness to it.
