Pours black, a little brown with a lovely mocha head. Coffee-forward, bordering on dark chocolate, probably some vanilla-coconut lingering under the whiskey. I taste the toasted malt up front. As the beer plays out, you are left with that dark chocolate, coffee flavor. Like a good chocolate bar or cup of black coffee. It is a little sweet, lingering sweetness in that smooth, creamy finish. It's really cool how the flavor develops as it settles in on your tongue. You could really guzzle this and have the alcohol creep up on you. Warm and chewy. A solid and enjoyable stout for this stout-obsessed bum.

Lighter black pour with a full brown head. Very coffee forward aromas, with vanilla and dark chocolate and a whisper of coconut. Taste does not have any coconut, coffee is still king, vanilla acts like the creamer, roasted malt, dark chocolate and a kiss of tobacco round out. Full body yet lighter bodied, frothy, well percolated, smooth mouthfeel.

Poured from the can into a teku. Jet black in the glass with a darker khaki colored head. Smell is toasted malt, caramel, burnt toast, slight vanilla, and boozy. Taste is sweeter and creamy up front with the coffee bitterness and barrel spice on the back end. You don't as much taste the alcohol, but know it's there. Feel is smooth and viscous, but without being too heavy; some mid-sip texture from the bitter elements. There is a lot going on here (hence part of Extreme Beer Box), but it's an enjoyable stout.

Black with a thin tan head. Aroma of strong black coffee, vanilla, caramel, whiskey & oak barrels. Taste is sweet, perhaps a bit to much. Flavor is roasted malt with all that promised by the nose. I didn’t find the coconut. Feel is thick with lots of stomach heat. Overall, great with chocolate on the side.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear thick viscous jet black in color with light to moderate fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark chestnut brown + dark amber + dark cola brown colored highlights. The beer a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of dark roasted malts + slightly charred malts + chocolate + caramel malts with light to moderate amounts of caramel + lactose-like sweetness. Moderate aromas of coconut + vanilla along with light to moderate aromas of coffee. Light aromas of earthy hops. Light to moderate aromas of toasted oak + bourbon.
T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of dark roasted malts + slightly charred malts + chocolate + caramel malts with light to moderate amounts of caramel + lactose-like sweetness. That is followed by moderate aromas of coconut + vanilla along with light to moderate flavors of coffee. Next there are some light to moderate flavors of toasted oak + bourbon. Finally there are light flavors of earthy hops. Light to moderate amounts of lingering roasty bitterness.
M: Full bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and creamy with a light amount of alcohol warming in the finish.
O: Drinks quite easily considering the strength and the alcohol is pretty well hidden except for a light amount of warming in the full mouthfeel. Enjoyable with lots of dessert-like flavors and aromas but without any cloying sweetness. Very enjoyable.

The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I'm picking up dark chocolate, burnt toast, coffee, vanilla and maybe a hint of underlying bourbon and whiskey. The flavor profile replicates the nose, but the dark chocolate, burnt toast and vanilla seemed to dominate. Also getting some licorice as well. The label mentions that this beer was brewed with coconut as well, but I'm really not picking up any coconut on the nose or palate. Likewise, there's not a whole lot of barrel character in this beer, and the bourbon/whiskey flavor is pretty minimal. Mouthfeel is fairly full, but with a surprisingly dry finish in this moderately sweet stout. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile... it's really hard to believe that the abv. is 14% in this beer. Even so, this isn't one of the more drinkable ba impy stouts I've had.
This is an OK stout, but it's hardly a standout. Glad I had the opportunity to try it, but this is not something I'd want to drink again or that I'd go looking for.

Pours a dark cola color and settles in the glass black with mahogany brown on the edges and a minimal tan head that is creamy and sticks around pretty much for the entire journey through the beer.
The nose has a nice barrel note right out of the can, and there’s chocolate and vanilla as well, but no discernible coffee. That is corrected on the taste, with a roasty coffee flavor at the back of the palate, a great finish to flavors that include rich milk chocolate, toffee, vanilla, and a delicious oaky flavor from the barrel. What is absent is any alcohol flavor, which is difficult to manage with a 14% ABV beer. Exceptionally well done.
The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, perfect for this big beer. What a treat it is to enjoy this beer.

Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and some coffee and some bourbon. Taste is classic stout, roasted, a bit of chocolate and a bit of coffee, not much in the bourbon notes. Feel is good, nice mouthfeel and lingering finish. Overall, a tasty stout but nothing exciting . . . other than it's 14% and it doesn't taste like a 14%.

Pour is typical Imperial stout - black as night. Light head, some lacing, viscous feel. Strong bourbon aroma. Taste is complex and many-layered. Not much on the coffee side. Taste is deeply roasted grain with vanilla and the coconut provides a smoothing taste but doesn't quite temper the 14 % ABV.

Extreme Beer selection shared with 6 members of a brew club. All flavors evident on the nose, coconut standing out with coffee getting lost in both smell and taste. Poured thick and was hard to get past that to tell it was actually a beer as carbonation got lost so mouthfeel was a bit thick and took away from what could've been an awesome imperial stout.

Smell was a bit weak and wished we could make out the coffee and coconut notes better, but it tasted good. Joel (1 of 8 of us) disagrees about the coconut (he thought it was coconut forward.

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours jet black with little head. Nose is huge roasted malts, charred wood, coffee grounds, coconut, very dark chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, raisins, black currant. The taste is fantastic. A great mix of sweet and bitter. Tons of charred wood and coffee, sweet toffee, chocolate, vanilla, a bit of brown sugar, coconut, bourbon, and loads of dark fruit. This is amazing. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Overall, this is an exceptional BA stout.
