I had this beer on-tap in a nonic pint at the brewery in Pioneer Square.
Appearance: medium golden hue with with a dash of haze and a thick head of pillow eggshell foam. Carbonation is insane — there’s an absolute ton of visible effervescence here. Cool!
Smell: grainy malt aroma with a little sweetness and even some CO2 burn in the smell, which is not too surprising considering the loads of effervescence.
Taste: moderately sweet with a little bit of astringent graininess and a pronounced bitter bite from the hops. It’s working for me!
Mouthfeel: light body but tons of carbonation and a texture that’s more rocky than creamy, but which I like nonetheless.
Overall: a tasty lager with a definite bite. I’m having it alongside a slice of pizza and it works perfectly in this application.
