I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the Allgood taproom and soon-to-be brewery in Portland.
Appearance: rich dark brown hue that's basically black. Head is a finger of frothy tan foam.
Smell: sweetish malt with some roastiness and a few chocolate notes. Not too bad.
Taste: sweet malt with a somewhat roasty, somewhat chocolatey hop character. It's got a bit of a roasty astringency too. Not bad, though.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a decent enough stout, if not outstanding.
