this is awesome, easily the best of the two beers ive had from this new operation, took me by surprise, and while yeah its a bit sweet, the hop profile is amazing, really bright and fruity, rightly called juicy by the brewery, the back half of this is incredible, makes me think it almost has to be dosed, terpene spiked or something, the hops are not really even all that recognizable to me in terms of varietals, this does something quite unique and distinctive, very orange forward, but like orange candy, orange skittles or something, really punched up and without anything green, herbal, or bitter, really modern and frankly impressive, very well done! very light orange color to this, pretty good clarity, and a cap of about three quarters of an inch of puffy thick white foam with consistent carbonation rising up, looks right on, well refined. aroma of apricot, mango, and navel orange, distinctive to me, without much bitterness, definite confectionary sweetness to me, a little pine element, and some fresh pale malt, slightly nutty perhaps, a fine foundation for the hop treatment, which must be pretty heavy on the dry hop as bitterness is low to me and fruitiness is way up, lightly weedy, clementine and peach, almost seems flavored, could be some mosaic, maybe el dorado with a little melon thing going on, would love to know what hops are in this, maybe some hop products? the flavor is even better than the nose, a slow crescendo to a late climax of explosive orange goodness, orange soda and tangerine and a hint of floral honey and its sweetness carrying the hops, max out point is right on the swallow, crazy how its this potent but not bitter at all, seems almost flavored to me here, some pineapple with the citrus, absolutely delicious. it could be drier and more drinkable, but if that was at the expense of flavor it would not be worth it, and the body is still fairly light here, its not too sweet to want to have a few of them. for me this is immediately one of the better non hazy ipa types made around boise, heck of an effort from our newest brewery in the area!
