Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – the beer pours a clear dark golden amber color with a small head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a malty and cereal grain smell mixed with lots of dough and some nice caramel and toffee notes. Along with these are some light notes of herb and pine as well as hints of yeast and a bit of spice.
Taste – The taste begins with a doughy and malty flavor mixed with a good hit of caramel and a bit of grain. At the same time there is some apple and pear, along with notes of yeast. These tastes take the taste to the end leaving one with a sweet and slightly malty, but smooth taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. For the style it is great and makes for an easy drinker.
Overall – A good brew and one to definitely give a try.

This was very crisp and light. Smooth and paired well appetizers like cheese curds and wings.
Yellow. Clear light beer. No skunk smell or acid smell.

On tap at Yard House in Willow Grove, PA.

This one pours a fairly clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like honeyed malt, but a little stale and sweet smelling.

It’s pretty cool that Yard House has a beer made for them by Schneider, but I have no idea how old this beer is, as it tastes kind of overly sweet and stale, without the sort of crisp bite or well attenuated malt character that I would expect.

This is light bodied, but not quite crisp or clean enough, at least compared to some of the most accomplished helles lagers out there.

This is cool that it exists, but it needs a bit of work.

beer never really tastes that fresh to me at yard house, like its always been in a long line or something too long, add that this one came from germany to idaho and its even more tired tasting, but its cool these guys did a beer for yard house, and that the restaurant is now more forthright than ever about where there house beer comes from, id be proud to be pouring this too, they have a whole menu page stating where each is made, i think thats new, or else i have missed it before, and i had to jump on this seeing it was from schneider! love the name, but surprisingly the beer isnt clear, a dullish muted hazy yellow tone and not much head after the initial pour, doesnt look as lively or refined as i thought it would. it smells and tastes a little old, not vibrant, and the lack of carbonation is only part of that, its also got a little oxidation and fade to the malt, which presents as heavier than pils and a little stale, it also has some lingering sweetness, just a bit, but i like these to be more crisp than this. its not bad, but coming from these guys its disappointing, i know how good their beers are, so i was expecting a whole lot more, and i left wondering if yard house had done something to make this less good, either in transport or in storage or in serving, because ive had schneiders bayrisch hell and it blows this out of the water...

On tap at the Yard House Waikiki. Entering review from notes.

Pours clear light gold color with almost no head. Smell is grainy and clean, light grass if any. Pretty mild.

Taste is grainy, honeysuckle sweet, light grassy bitter.

Mouthfeel is light and smooth. Overall, it's a good beer.
