It's cloudy (what is it with the lack of clarity in these brews?) with a reddish tint. Description claims that it's a saison but I'm leaning more toward fruit/vegetable beer.

Faint raspberry and watermelon flavors greet the nose. Supposedly, it's also brewed with honey but I couldn't find that with my nose.

The honey is in the body and the overall flavor is sour/bitter to the tongue. I'm not sure if they used extract or actual watermelon juice. As for the "saison" part, it's there but overshadowed by the fruit.

Lingering mix of raspberry/watermelon. Pretty weak finish.

Eh. Could use more body and something other than fruit extracts. It will probably appeal to people who like their beer like they like watermelon: sour and runny.

im not sure id call this a saison, although faint Belgian yeast is detectable. this is a curious fruit beer, that pours a pink tinted light color with a short white head. the nose smells strongly of raspberries, somewhere between fresh and concentrated, and I hardly get the watermelon at all. light wheat malt, cleanish in first impression. the berries shit powerfully on the first sip, and are more sweet than tart, while the watermelon is more rind than fruit, and gives bitterness where hops falls short in this one. the sweetness is tamed by that, and the Belgian yeast adds some character and seems to ferment most of the sugars, which is why this beer finishes pretty dry. good carbonation too, and a really light and drinkable complexion. im not huge into fruit beers, and this one is a little girly for me, but I like the idea, but it would be cool if they used local fruits. not sure how many watermelons grow in the Adirondack park...

COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Subtle hints of raspberry and a trace of watermelon refreshes the mouth. A Belgian influence with a kiss of New York State honey, for complexity, delivers a dry, refreshing finish to a very drinkable summer ale.
