.33L emptied into a Pokal.
A: Pours a cloudy yellow-green with a fizzy 1/2 finger head which rapidly disappears.
S: Fresh citrus, lemon zest.
M: Light-to-medium bodied with mild carbonation.
T: Fake sweetness followed by a chalky dryness. The closest description that I can muster is a lemon flavored Alka-Seltzer. Artificial sweetener at the finish and throughout the aftertaste.
D: Perhaps on a very hot day, if I were parched beyond measure, then this would be acceptable. As it stands now, this is a poor attempt at a Radler. I like Radlers, I've had good ones before. Gösser Naturradler comes readily to mind as an example of what a Radler should be. Zwettler isn't even close.
40% beer, 60% unfiltered lemonade.
