Slightly hazy, transparent gold with a creamy white head. Great retention.

Aroma of passion fruit, clove, peppercorn, hay, peach.

Moderate passion fruit upfront. Juicy, relatively sweet, but restrained. Crisp cracker malt, hay. Clove. Then some pink peppercorn. Some lingering bitterness. Dry.

Medium feel, well carbonated. Very straw-like and dry.

A solid saison! I wish it all popped more. Crushable, though.

Pours a clear gold. Mild fruity aroma. A tart taste at first that I wasn't expecting. It mellowed out the more I drank. A nice even passion fruit body with a nice spicy finish. It's a good beer if you like saisons which I don't.

Picked up a 12 ounce single for the first day of summer. Poured into a DFH tulip it has a nicely hazy golden color with a fluffy medium head. Smells are lively with the florals dominating. Tastes like a nicely refreshing saison with fruity hints. Mouthfeel is fine for the style. Frankly this is what I wish Great Lakes did more of, namely work on a traditional style and develop their own unique variation of it, similar to the Oktoberfest, Edmund Fitzgerald and Eliot Ness. I'm a fan.

12oz bottle, served in a tulip glass. Best before 10/21/20.

Appearance: Hazy translucent golden color with a hint of pink to it. Nice thick white head with lots of persistent strands of lacing.

Smell: Passion fruit - most definitely. A little hint of underlying herbal and floral aroma as well, but the passion fruit dominates.

Taste: Lots going on - passion fruit, cracker-like malt, herbal hops, lemon, a bit of a lingering bitter finish. Some aspects of Belgian yeast in here....but that yeast flavor is a bit covered by all the other flavors.

Mouthfeel: Good thickness, prickly carbonation, slick, some lingering heat on the tongue.

Overall / Drinkability: Very interesting and flavorful - definitely a nice beer to have on a warm day, and this seems like a beer that may pair well with food, but it has so much going on in flavor that it might not, and would better to sip and savor by itself.

Pours a hazy golden color with a one finger bright white head that dissipated quickly. No lacing present. Tropical fruit, ginger and pepper nose. Taste follows the nose with malt and a touch of sourness that makes your mouth water on the finish. Nice mouthfeel with a moderate body and moderate fine carbonation. Overall, this Belgian Saison is very drinkable. I think I will have another . . . Oh crap! I only bought one in a mix six.

Enjoy by 10/21/20. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours golden with some haze to it; creamy and fluffy white head that sticks around leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are very nice. The passion fruit comes through. Lots of berries, especially strawberries. Hints of banana. Some yeasts. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose for the most part. More passion fruit leading the way. More berries. Hints of pineapple in the mix. It's on the sweeter side. It's slightly tart. Yeasts do their thing without dominating. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's extremely fluffy and smooth.

This is a nice brew. It's definitely not a traditional saison, but it's still really nice nonetheless. Well done.

I got a 4pck of this beer from my local Kroger store. It poured a clear golden with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had ripe fruit ginger and other spices. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tart fruit blended with citrus peel spice. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

Poured out of a 12 oz bottle into one of my tulip glasses, this beer pours a fairly cloudy/hazy, medium golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles fairly rapidly and continually rising to the beers surface. Had a white head that's about an inch thick when I first poured it. Head settles eventually to a nice, thick creamy looking, surface coating along a thick ring lining the inside of the glass. Good lacing here too. Aromas of some bready, biscuity malt along with passion fruit and some zesty, tropical fruit notes. Some citrus hops too for sure. Flavors of biscuity malts along with the aforementioned passion fruit that has a nice slightly to moderately tart sourness. Rounded out with just the right amount of citrus hop bitterness. The flavor profile really comes together nicely and is better balanced after the beer has sat and warmed up a bit. Has a crisp, also smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink in a good way with a clean finish and nice aftertaste.
