12 ounce bottle into IPA glass, best before 10/24/2020. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 4 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy passion fruit, pear, red apple, apricot, peppercorn, ginger, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Some good yeast funk from what seems like Saison Dupont yeast. Light-moderate peppery yeast/ginger spice, fruit tang/tartness, and light herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. High carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Some creamy/grainy malt, sticky spice, and yeast/fruit tang/tartness in the mouthfeel. Increasingly drying spice with no astringency. Minimal warming 6.9%. Great classic saison yeast complexity without overdoing the fruit or spice. Pretty refreshing for the ABV. GL usually nails random styles they make seasonally. This is one of those times.

Didn't really like the combination of tart passion fruit with a dry funky finish. Slight yeasty and bubbly I really couldn't see having more than one. Pass.

Wild and funky, this saison has got a spicy punch. Lovely translucent yellow pour with effervescence and a big foamy head. I definitely get the passion fruit on the tongue with a tart finish.

Pours a clear medium golden color, appropriate foamy head. Nice passionfruit aroma, a little tart and funky. Flavor is tart passionfruit, a little artificial tasting. Slightly funky with a light sour finish. Good carbonation, tart and slightly acidic finish. Overall it is Ok, just a bit artificial tasting.

Appearance: A real Belgianesque pour, with three fingers of foam sitting atop the cloudy honeyed liquid; clumps of lacing

Smell: Cracker malt, passion fruit, orange peel, pepper and ginger with Belgian yeast tones

Taste: Cracker malt forward with the passion fruit and orange peel emerging; hints of pepper and ginger; the yeast and spices drive home the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with high carbonation

Overall: An interest tack on a Saison; I am not enamored with the flavor profile but enjoyed having a chance to give it a go

12 ounce bottle poured into a Tulip.
Best by: 10/24/20

L: Slightly hazy, amber with an orange hue, two fingers of very persistent dense ivory foam, leaves lace.
S: Earthy, slightly funky, sour stone fruit.
T: Moderately bitter and lowly sweet, light yeast, no funk, lightly tart, finishing dry and mildly sour, subtle flavors of pastry, spice and sour fruit, drawn out finish with an aftertaste that is stronger than the initial flavor profile.
F: Medium weight effervescent body, seems under-carbonated (medium-low), if drank too fast the mild sour/tartness builds to a harsh tangy drawing sensation.
O: Doesn't come together for me, flavors are very mild which alone would be fine (brewed for the masses perhaps) but with the strong aftertaste it becomes less enjoyable.

Appearance:
A hazy, golden pollen under a cushy pillow of white foam. Modest retention and slippery, webbed lacing.

Bouquet:
Subtle orange rind and dried apricots given a delicate spritz of passion fruit and Belgian yeast. Calm and steady, yet still provocative.

Feel:
An ample medium with pin prick carbonation and a lingering heat on the tongue.

Taste:
A necklace of bright florals draped over supple passion fruit and freckled with tiny bursts of pink peppercorn. Their spice is brought to heel by slender slices of candied ginger. You can distinctly taste each one clearly and independently of the others. Its palate is completed by a dry finish of sun-bleached straw.

Siren Shores brewed by Great Lakes Brewing Co. ,With an ABV of 6.90% This Saison/Farmhouse brew pours out of a 12oz glass bottle into a pint beer glass. The color of this brew, is a deep Golden amber color with a nice white head. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is Rich with sweetness, passion fruit mixed with a nice amount of grains and malts. You also pick up spice notes mixed with mirror hops bitterness. So far Siren Shores is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. The passion fruit is strong but not overpowering. However the spices are a nice touch to this brew, more dominant than the passion fruit in the taste. The grains and malts tie it all together, really enjoyable. This is well put together brew, with lots of good flavors. The body of Siren Shores is a soild medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew it has a super nice balance to it. It is really hard to pick up on the 6.90% ABV in this brew, it is just that smooth. This brew would go nice with dinner or warmer night. The mouth feel is Sweet, Spicy, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I am going to give Siren Shores, a 4.25 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again givin the opportunity too. Great Lakes Brewing Co., Did a super nice job with this Farmhouse/Saison brew.

Slightly hazy, transparent gold with a creamy white head. Great retention.

Aroma of passion fruit, clove, peppercorn, hay, peach.

Moderate passion fruit upfront. Juicy, relatively sweet, but restrained. Crisp cracker malt, hay. Clove. Then some pink peppercorn. Some lingering bitterness. Dry.

Medium feel, well carbonated. Very straw-like and dry.

A solid saison! I wish it all popped more. Crushable, though.

Pours a clear gold. Mild fruity aroma. A tart taste at first that I wasn't expecting. It mellowed out the more I drank. A nice even passion fruit body with a nice spicy finish. It's a good beer if you like saisons which I don't.

Picked up a 12 ounce single for the first day of summer. Poured into a DFH tulip it has a nicely hazy golden color with a fluffy medium head. Smells are lively with the florals dominating. Tastes like a nicely refreshing saison with fruity hints. Mouthfeel is fine for the style. Frankly this is what I wish Great Lakes did more of, namely work on a traditional style and develop their own unique variation of it, similar to the Oktoberfest, Edmund Fitzgerald and Eliot Ness. I'm a fan.
