Another on-tap only "pub exclusive" at the GLBC. Served to me in a pint glass. This beer draws a fairly cloudy/hazy medium golden color with a nice white head that is about 1/2 inch when first poured. Settles eventually to a nice thick ring that lines the inside of the glass. Decent lacing. Spicy aromas of ginger and lemongrass followed by hints of coriander. Has a nice, slightly malty caramel taste upfront that gives way to the lemongrass, ginger, and coriander noted. No real discernible hop presence. Has good crisp, smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. A damn good and quite session able beer for the summer time!

Appearance: a hazy yellow color. a finger or two of a white head that fades away

Smell: wheat, citrus

Taste: a nice refreshing wheat and belgian yeast. citrusy but not hoppy on the back

Mouthfeel: very light, but not quite watery, leaves a citrus taste behind. very refreshing

Overall: a good summer beer. refreshing and light but nothing overly impressive.

One of their pub-exclusives, and I got lucky to stumble into it.

It pours just like a Witbier should look. light yellow and slightly turbid. Average head for the style and taste is slightly average as well. The only standout is the addition of ginger which is faint and adds a different character to the beer. I dont know about sessioning this beer, but just one is good for me!

Average in the realm of Wits.
