I bought 2 cans 473ml at 5%.
Poured a 2finger head into Glass leaving a lace as you drink it .
Reddish color good carbonation.
Taste is malty with a hint of caramel and vanilla with a medium smooth bitterness makes it easy to drink .
Overall a good dark or reddish Winter lager beer from Steamwhistle
.
Cheers

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Aug 11 2021 and served slightly chilled. This brewery used to be all about doing one thing and doing it well, but for whatever reason has branched out as of late.
Pours bright and effervescent, its body amber-orange and crowned with an inch of lumpy, foamy white head. It dissipates at a casual pace; by the five minute mark, only a creamy collar and thin cap remain, with little in the way of lace left behind. It smells of bready pale malts, lightly toasted grains and caramelized sugars - nothing unusual for the style, but it's clean and enticing, not unlike some of my favourite German lagers.
Straightforward amber lager, with just the right amount of sweetness for me: there's toasted bread and grainy malts, with hints of caramel and a touch of nuttiness. Not a lot of hop presence - maybe some grassy, weakly herbal undertones towards the finish, just enough to make itself known amidst the more dominant malt backbone, followed by a lightly toasty-sweet aftertaste that fades quickly. Light-medium in body, with average carbonation that feels spritzy and prickly on the palate. Excellent drinkability - I think I'd be fine sticking with this all night, which is not something I can honestly say about many ambers at all.
Final Grade: 3.93, a B+. Steam Whistle Harvest Lager is an exceptionally well made amber lager that resembles most everything I look for in this style - both quality and simplicity, as well as drinkability and balance - and most importantly, that it not be too sweet. Perhaps slightly better than Mill Street's 100th Meridian, but choosing between the two is akin to a coin toss, and this is not a style I drink all that often anyhow. Also reminiscent of Von Bugle, which could easily just be a coincidence.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for about $3.50 CDN. Canning date of August 11, 2021.
Appearance - Clear rich auburn colored brew with a finger and a half of dense and fluffy off white head. Great clarity and lots of bubbles. Moderate staying power and limited lacing.
Smell - Fall-like. Some hints of wet leaves and earthiness combined with some sweet caramel malt. Some leafy hops make their way into the nose, but the aroma is malt forward.
Taste - Modest bitterness, plenty of earthiness, some leafy hops and of course caramel malt shows up too. Very balanced and restrained without anything dominating too much.
Mouthfeel - Medium-light bodied, very crisp carbonation, semi-dry finish.
Overall - A very solid red lager from Steamwhistle, excellent balance and good flavor. Refreshing and light and worth coming back to again and again.

Pours a beautiful dark amber colour, with a thick creamy head. Fall senses on the nose, not spices per se, but definitely fall flavours. The taste is malty, not hoppy. Delicious. This is a highly anticipated beer for me and it didn’t disappoint
