A mild, pale, light-bodied ale AND lager, this hybrid beer was made with an ale and a lager yeast. During the peak of fermentation, strawberries were added to sweeten the edge of a normally crisp & dry session beer, on a nitrogen pour to accentuate the creaminess of the style.

This was poured into a pint glass at brewpub. The appearance was a glossy, semi-clear mildly pale burnt orange color. Mild lacing after a barely there little bit of a cap of a head. The aroma did have some sweet to lightly tart strawberry, yes, authentic. Mild sweet malts behind. The flavor brings in the sweet to the tart nicely. Delicate sweet strawberry aftertaste. Quick finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Nice sessionability for what it is. Does somewhat come across creamy-like on my tongue. Overall, it does the job of an American styled cream ale with brewer creativity. Nice for the Summer.

Nitro tap poured into a 12oz glass.

Pours a very clear yellow with a very thin white head. Nose is very light, bitter and slightly sweet.

What? No strawberries here! There is a subtle sweetness on the finish that's a bit reminiscent of strawberries but I was expecting something like Abitas strawberry beer, nope this is much more balanced. It's light crisp and hoppy with a full mouthfeel. Super easy drinking on a summer evening.

On nitro-tap @ the brewpub on 7/17/10. Served in pint glass.

Pours a crystal clear gold, with a thin creamy covering of bright-white head. This hangs around with a mostly modest retention, leaving some light fizzy lace behind before pretty much going completely dead about half way through the glass. The aroma is sweet, grainy, and even a little bit floral smelling, with the light fruitiness of the strawberries sitting underneath and appearing to bring the majority of the aromatics here in the nose.

The taste is sweet and a little bit tangy from the fruit that is present, with the mix of malts and strawberries making for a refreshing combo. There is just a light tingle of bitterness across the back of this which leads into a crisp and dry finish. The mouthfeel is light-bodied, with some firmness to the carbonation but is still creamy from the nitro, putting the exclamation point on a fairly easygoing and quaffable experience.

With its fruitiness and light bodied nature, this is one that you could definitely steer the novice craft beer drinker towards. Pretty inoffensive stuff overall.

Hybrid of ale/lager with strawberries added.

Pours a light golden-yellow color with a decent head into my glass.

Aroma has strawberry that peeks out along with cream and sweet malt.

Taste is creamy thanks to the nitro pour. Surprisingly balanced even with the strawberries. Never too sweet. Other flavors hardly show up.

Mouthfeel is full of lingering light strawberry tones and sweet/grainy malt.

Decent but I'm not sure if a nitro pour is even needed for this style.
