I suppose I should come out and confess this: it is hard for me to review beer styles that I don't drink often and are not memorable when I do. So it is with Low-Alcohol Beers.
The most remarkable result of Fun was that it was refreshing. (I was very thirsty and on the train to Hamburg after several delays.) But some aspects stood out, like the long linger of the hops. This is not unlike my review of Jever's Pils, so it seems to be the brewer's bias. But as the other characteristics appear to me, I have to rate it as average for the style. The problem with the style is that it doesn't make me happy.
I've not done a micro-review for Jever; but I really shouldn't because all I can do is look at the pictures on their website. Give me an English button and I'll give you a review.
2/6/26 Well, I did find this again and I did go on their website and I did find an English button. But alas, it didn't work. So I still can't say much about Jever other than they have a lot of nice photos of the North Sea area and seem traditional. This brew was something of a pioneer, now 20 years old. The rest of the industry is catching up to Jever; making Jever close to average... although I don't doc my rating.

From the bottle, it pours a clear pale light yellow with a modest white head that reduces to a modest ring. The nose gets the usual strained grain scent, a bit skunky. The mouth was better: citrus and grass hitting harder than the normal NA flavors with a light ibitterness remaining after. Honestly, I was a bit shocked at how drinkable it was.

330 ml green bottle, bought in Sweden. Non-alcoholic. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, big and lasting white head. The aroma has first a fresh "skunky" whiff when opening the bottle, then the usual n/a beer notes of over-boiled vegetables and baby porridge. Also some sweetish notes of candy, hints of grassy hops. Fairly thin mouthfeel, as expected. The flavour is moderately citrussy and grassy, making the beer quite drinkable and refreshing - for a n/a beer, that is. Hints of hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Could have been worse.

L:
-pours a clear straw golden with a small to medium, foamy, white head
-medium carbonation visible
S:
-skunk,lemon,green apple,grassy
T:
-grassy,mineral,grainy,cereals
-finishes dry
F:
-medium carbonation
-light,watery body
O:
One of the better alcohol free beers. It retains the dry, fresh, hoppy character of the Pilsener and it's not as overly grainy as most alcohol free Beers tend to be.
On the negative side, the watery Body and the skunk from the green Bottle.

Looks great with its brilliant golden body and medium bubbles rising continously to the top and the 2 fingers of pillowy white foam that sits there for a long time and leaves lacing like brushstrokes on a painting.
Nose is a disappointment due to my expectation. There is the grassy scent that I love so much but it is overpowered by the plain smell of pilsner wort.
Taste is also unexpected as it starts dry and not sweet at all though the pilsner malt isdetectable. However there is no real taste to speak of in the beginning only later when somewhat unpleasant astringent bitterness kicks in. The bitterness is substantial and gets more pleasant as it lingers.
Quite watery, little astringent and palate cleasing carbonation.
This is a remarkable low alcohol beer not all pleasing but quite some character and very drinkable due to its punching bitterness. Worth a try.

For a 0% beer this is excellent, I have not found an other 0% beer that comes close to it. I even like to drink it, which what I can't say of most other alcoholfree beers.
I'm a bit amazed that this beer is not brewed anymore according to your site, because I regularly buy it here in Amsterdam ;))
I hope it will be brewed for a long time!
