750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Dany estimates this is a late 90s bottle. Other sources date it at 94.
Appearance - Opens with minimal pop. Cork in good condition. Medium head on the pour. Hazy orange. Very thin head.
Smell - Wow smells like strawberry. Floral. Sweet smelling.
Taste - Slight acidity. Still tastes like strawberry. Sweet pale malt. Some yeast. The faintest oxidation in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium low carbonation. Medium body, maybe heavy for a saison.
Overall - Remarkably good for its age. Tasty saison.

750ml corked and capped bottle poured into a matching Fantome glass. The brew appears a clear copper color with a white cap that fades.
This smells musty like a damp basement and then some citrus, caramel and cork character emerge.
The taste is tart with citrus zest, pith and some corky oxidation. There is a tannic dryness to the finishes slightly acidic and yet astringent at the same time. As the brew breathes and evolves in my glass, some cider qualities are noted.
This is light bodied and modestly carbonated. Overall a very dry finishing brew that despite the mild oxidation is quite a lovely drink considering how old this is. Would love to drink again but I doubt there are more out there to be had.

Clear, orange copper body with a white cap. Aromas of must, basement, apple, orange. Lovely and complex flavor. Age has served this beer quite well.
