Pretty simplistic label that looks like an enormous tree with a church in the background and a scroll with the name of the beer printed in it. On the tree, a year is carved, I assume to be the year this beer was made. It is difficult to see but reads 1998.
The cork comes out intact with audible and visible carbonation. The brew is perfectly clear copper with a creamy white cap.
Aroma is oxidized but that breathes away to lots of bretty Fantome house character. Orange rind and straw/hay.
Taste is very orange-like, slightly bitter and reminiscent of some older bottlings of Fantome ete. Lots of brett, leather, caramelized sugar flavor but lacks residual sweetness.
This is medium in body and modestly carbonated. The label claims to be 7% but there is an alcohol warmth to this suggesting much more. Quite lively for being 18 years old and while unique, easily identifiable as Fantome.
