It's a special beer brewed in collaboration withe Brähery to honour the late great Dr. Professor Mayor Devin T. Stewart. Brewed "for the band" and for "serious knowers" with andaliman peppercorns, lotus hops, Devin's spirit and Fantome's magic. Take a sip, sing like a feline philosopher, and salute Devin!

Pours a large foamy almost 2 finger head with good retention, soapy lacing, mostly clear slight hazy orange slight amber color
Nose brings layers of funk, light farmhouse earthy first, then goes to a barnyard, into gym sock, tart citrus fruit notes, almost like yuzu and star fruit with lemon lime notes, light floral hops, flowery like dandelion or chamomile, some peppery like pink peppercorns
Taste starts with a nice Belgian saison like beer, grainy cereal malt, gristy, wheat dough, then some funk kicks in but light at first, farmhouse funky note, mild bitterness with more grassy earthy floral hop notes, flowery chamomile tea like as well, then spices, some phenol spices and pink peppercorn character again, more exotic citrus a bit more Yuzu like now, a hint of tartness, a bit of lemongrass, then hops kick it up a bit on the back end getting med-high bitterness and quite spicy, a bit more farmhouse funk and just a hint of barnyard
Mouth is med bod, high effervescent frothy carb, hint of warming alcohol
Overall a nice beer, reminds me a bit of Cuvee des Champions from Cantillon although a bit high on the spicy hop finish, but otherwise nice

Appearance: Pours a hazy apricot nectar color with a two finger head; good persistence and splashy lacing
Smell: Cookie dough, clove and vanilla creme aromatics with hints of banana, lemon and pepper
Taste: Bitter lemon and clove forward, with the banana and vanilla creme flavors emerging to provide a sweeter counterpoint; the back end features hints of hot pepper and lemon zest
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: Of the three new Fantome bottles that arrived locally the other week, this one is my clear favorite; so much going on and I really enjoying the impact of the Andaliman peppercorns and the Lotus hops

Bottle. Clear straw gold. White head, lots, lace.
Bubblegum, farmhouse yeast, spices, esters, citrus, and a bit of booze. Fresh cut grass. Nothing off putting, not medicinal or overly bitter. One of the more enjoyable recent tome releases.
